Another mod con for Defender in its twilight years

All Land Rover Defender wagons arriving in New Zealand from about October will have Electronic Stability Control (ESC), importer Motorcorp Distributors has confirmed to 4wdNewz. It will be optional on other models, but the company is looking at making it standard. It's probably the final "modern touch" for the Defender, which will go out of production in December 2015. There will then be a gap before the completely new Defender emerges. ESC is to be compulsory on all new vehicles from July next year, although the Motor Industry Association is seeking a delay for light commercials.

  1. Who cares, the Defender is completely irrelevant
