Some good news for Wrangler enthusiasts
Defender owners have their cross to bear with that DC100 concept running around, clearly signaling that Land Rover intends to dilute the Defender name. Jeep Wrangler owners have had their own cross to bear in the form of ongoing suggestions that the vehicle will be built in Italy or, even worse, hung on a Fiat platform for its next generation. However, the big boss, Sergio Marchionne, insists Wrangler production won't take place outside of Toledo, Ohio. Anything else was "unthinkable", he said. The factory can build about 160,000 vehicles a year. As for a Fiat platform, surely you wouldn't think so.
