That's comforting to know – Holden tweaks the Colorado

The hacks of the NZ motoring media are over in Queensland being dined and wined by Holden at the introduction of the 2015 Colorado ute and wagon. Holden must have money to spend, because what's new and different can be recorded on the back of a press release envelope. The LTZ ute and wagon  get a Comfort Suspension, a "premium interior upgrade" and,  on all models, a new acoustic package to lessen noise and vibration. The new suspension involves revising the spring rate and a damper tune, while stiffening the front swaybar. Apparently it's wonderful on urban roads, which is probably where most LTZs will live. The Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist have been refined on all Colorados.

Imagine being dragged across the Tasman to be handed a press pack that offers such insights as: "The new acoustic package reduces airborne noise and vibration making highway and urban driving quieter and a more comfortable and enjoyable experience, with the Colorado now as at home doing the grocery run as it is conquering the all-terrain." Hopefully the meals were nice.

  1. I test drove a Colorado recently and found it a big disappointment. Sooner have a Ranger.
