Ford Australia’s showing a new version of the Ranger meant for the mining industry but which could win a good following in New Zealand for "tougher" assignments. The XL Plus will be on show next week at a Perth mining industry show. Among its features are 17-inch steel rims with all terrains; heavy duty canvas seat covers; a wiring harness with additional pre-wired electrical circuits and an auxiliary switch bezel; a second, 80 amp-hour deep cycle battery with isolator; and a steel bull bar that maintains five-star ANCAP safety rating.
