The things you see in a forest

One of the more dramatic moments on the tracks of Waiuku Forest, southwest of Auckland, is a short, sharp climb and then a sharp drop-off that allows the driver no idea of what's below. It could be a fall right into the Tasman Sea, as far as anyone knows. Hence, sending the passenger out to take a look is always a good idea. These photos were taken yesterday on a trip to the forest by the Auckland 4WD Club.
