ANCAP has awarded a five-star safety rating to 4WD single cab and extra cab Toyota Hilux 4WD utes built from August 2013. It follows several safety upgrades, including seat belt reminders and improved knee protection. They also passed a side pole impact test. ANCAP says the dual cab Hilux 4WDs will also probably get the full five stars. No change has been made to the 2WDs, whose ratings remain at four-star.
