Mercedes-Benz will offer some
versions of the G-Class (formerly G-Wagen) in New Zealand from next year. It's being launched to the press in March. The venerable but constantly refined wagon is built in Austria by Magna Steyr as three-door and five-door wagons as well as a convertible and custom models. Some 200,000 have been built over the last 30 years. The Australian Army has taken 1200, probably sparking interest in offering civilian versions on both sides of the Tasman. There's another post
here.
