Ford Ranger facelift goes start-stop and adds a bunch of gizmos

Ford has provided some advance information on the facelifted Ranger, coming soon to our market. In addition to a new front end, it gets an upgraded diesel with start-stop technology and electric power assisted steering. Fuel economy is said to be up to 22 percent better. There's suspension tuning for "improved ride comfort and handling." New electronics include Ford's SYNC 2 connectivity, a lane keeping aid, adaptive cruise control, a driver impairment monitor and front and rear parking sensors.
