Could it be that Mercedes has copied the six-wheel Land Rover Series III in the 4x4 National Park item further down? Probably not, and at around $700,000 the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 likely costs a bit more than the Land Rover conversion. It came about as a more luxurious and an more rugged version of the G320 CDI built for the Australian army. Unlike the military version, the G63 AMG 6x6 has a twin-turbocharged 5.5 litre V8 from AMG with 400kW of power. Torque is 760Nm.
The impressive Merc curb-weighs in at 3775kg. Ground clearance is a decent 460mm and wading depth is 1000mm. Approach and departure angles are 52 degrees and 54 degrees respectively. The uber-G will be on sale soon if you've just sold the farm and have some funds itching to be spent.
Wow, look at that ground clearance!
