Well over a year ago, off-roading with the tubeless tyres aired down to around 17psi, what seemed to be some bark got caught between the rim and the rubber, as often happens. There was no air leak, and the debris didn't want to move, so it was just left there … until this week's full service. A grinning mechanic reported after doing a wheel balance that, "you had half a tree inside the tyre, mate." Okay, he was exaggerating slightly – well, a lot – but what a lucky break. The inside of the Goodyear Wrangler MT-R mudder was undamaged, but the bird's nest took some removing.
