Autocar in the UK has posted a video of a test pitting the Defender 90 against the Suzuki Jimny. It's here and worth watching, if you have an interest in either vehicle. The conclusion was that the Suzuki can follow the Land Rover pretty much anywhere. But hang on, the test track was anything but challenging. In the few places the clay track did look a bit interesting the Jimny didn't have a chance.
Suzukis are excellent in some conditions - my tricked out 90 has been embarrassed a few times by Suzis - the light weight has real advantages in some situations like a greasy hill where the heavier vehicles start digging in and the Suzukis float over the top. However, not so good in fast water...
