Two important utes are going on show. Fieldays, which opens today, will offer a first look at the
550Nm version of the Navara ute that Nissan has decided to import. The 3.0 litre V6 develops an also class-leading 170kW of power. Maximum torque is available from 1750rpm. Developed in conjunction with Alliance partner Renault, the new engine meets Euro 5 emissions requirements while also offering fuel economy in the order of 9.5 litres per 100km overall. Then, at the Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne July 1-10, Toyota is widely expected to show the
next Hilux due to go on sale here in September.
